Global Health Governance
Japan has long promoted and contributed to global health as one of its priority areas of international cooperation. Development Assistance for Health (DAH) is an important component of donor countries’ foreign policies and plays an important role in assisting the improvement of the population health in low- and middle-income countries. We comprehensively track and estimate DAH allocations from Japan and other donor countries and promote equitable and efficient DAH to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, including Universal Health Coverage and pandemic preparedness in recipient countries.
