Domestic Health Policy Reform
Faced with a rapidly ageing population and growth in chronic, non-communicable diseases,
Japan’s health system needs to adapt to a new generation of complex challenges.
These will affect health outcomes, health inequality and the sustainability of Japan’s universal healthcare system.
The Department of Global Health Policy contributes to the debate
about the future of Japan’s health system through data analysis and policy discussion and
formulation with government and health industry stakeholders.
