The Master’s program is a demanding, interdisciplinary program that emphasizes student-directed learning, problem-solving, and acquisition of fundamental global and planetary health research skills. Students are required to complete a minimum of 30-course credits and a master’s thesis. Beyond the program requirements, students are encouraged to consult with faculty advisers to choose elective courses best suited to their needs. The research topic for the thesis needs to be discussed by the end of the first year. For those who intend to carry out field research, a draft of the research proposal needs to be submitted to and approved by the Research Ethics Committee before the research is conducted. Students are encouraged to submit their manuscripts for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

PhD Program

The PhD program is designed to train the next generation of leaders in global and planetary health. PhD students are required to complete a minimum of 20-course credits and a doctoral thesis.
