GHP Members Actively Participated in ISEE–ISES 2025

Members of the Department of GHP actively participated in the joint International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) and International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) 2025 Conference, held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from August 17 to 20, 2025. This international meeting brought together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to advance knowledge on environment and health.

Our members from current students to alumni and faculty presented their recent research, contributed to discussions, and engaged in collaborations across a wide range of topics. GHP participants highlighted moments at ISEE–ISES 2025:

D3 Student Szu Yu Lin – Poster presentation on “Assessing tropical cyclone exposure definitions and diarrheal disease risk: A study of two urban contexts Taipei and Tokyo”
Assistant Professor Dr. Vera Phung – Poster presentation on “Thresholds of heat warning system to reduce 50% of preventable heatstroke mortality in Japan”
Assistant Professor Dr. Lei Yuan – Oral presentation on “Toward a cohort perspective of climate epidemiology: The case of intergenerational inequalities in susceptibility to non-optimal temperatures in Japan”

Through these contributions, GHP members demonstrated the department’s commitment to addressing global health challenges, promoting evidence-based policies, and fostering international collaboration.
